We have all enjoyed a wonderful time in this delightful corner of Provence with its magnificent scenery and warm hospitality.
We were with the family, the house is perfect for that. The bedding of the beds are recent and comfortable. Nothing was missing for our comfort. Fans in every room. Everything was very clean. The house is gigantic but the real plus is the garden and the pool! Large grassy area to play ball, petanque, ping-pong table, vegetable garden... and the huge swimming pool. Many deckchairs and garden armchairs, barbeque, plancha, shade in short all is perfect! Eva and her adorable friend, do not hesitate to ask her for a good address for a restaurant! I recommend.
Thank you so much for a wonderful week in Les Averries! A fantastic spot for children and adults. We feel we only 'scratched the surface' of the beautiful Val de Loire and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being such a thoughtful and helpful host Michel. We have now filled our car with wonderful wine from the Caslot winery and our minds full of wonderful memories.
Quiet location with stunning views. Jo and John couldn't have been more helpful and Jo is an amazing cook with a cake and wine to welcome us! Communications with John and Jos were very quick and helpful Jo helped communicate with the veterinarian to organise the return of the dogs to the UK, the reservation of restaurants and advice on markets and places to visit. The kitchen is well equipped because we ate most evenings. Feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs was a lot of fun. We didn't have good weather, but it didn't ruin our stay. We pedalled a lot in the area and went to visit the attractions for days. From the plan of the property, I was unable to settle the situation of the bathroom between the first bedroom and the bunk bedroom. It's a jack and jill bathroom. We all found the beds very comfortable. The pool is lovely and John maintains it very well and there are many things to do for big and small children at the property. We had been there for three weeks and we still didn't have time to do everything.
We have enjoyed two wonderful week here with cloudless skies and beautiful evenings. Amongst our favourite outings were nearby Villedieu, a beautiful spot for a lunchtime stop at the cafe du centre or the exceptional bistro de Villedieu, we also visited Gigondas with its magical views and charming square, Vaison la romaine is a stunning town especially the old part. We also enjoyed wondering around Nyons following the route through the spectacular medieval arches, chapel and church.
Villa comfortable and well equipped - teenagers enjoyed all the facilities including lovely pool.
What a wonderful week! Thank you so much. The dinner was incredible. It was our wedding anniversary - twenty-five years - it was a very special evening. Thank you.
We did have a really, really lovely time in France and we'll no doubt be seriously considering using Pure France again on a future occasion.
Had a great stay for the week. Villa was great, very spacious, pool was excellent. Excellent communication from start to finish, was greeted on arrival and Paul was on hand to help and support when needed for advice on tourism spots on what was going on around town. Great location to Béziers and Narbonne. Villa was spacious and felt like a home from home. Location in the village is really safe and quiet. I would highly recommend.
Perfect house, perfect place to enjoy South of France, great people to help you when needed. We had a wonderful stay, very comfortable and we were a large group at max capacity! I will highly recommend this place!
We had a fabulous time. The house and the pool were wonderful. Used this as a base to explore Narbone and Le Somail. Cédric was fantastic. Nothing was too much for him to help with.
Excellent holiday stay, villa wonderful, spacious pool, fantastic for weather. Host Lisbeth very helpful, nothing too much problem, always contact by telephone, only used to confirm departure. Bessan pretty village, all amenities here and close to beaches, Pézenas and Béziers. Thank you Lisbeth for 2-week relaxing holiday.

Fantastic location in the Charente to celebrate holidays with groups of family and/or friends.
We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious and well maintained accommodation met the needs of our party of 15 perfectly, ranging from ages 1 to 85. The accommodation was even nicer than shown in the photos, as the sitting room had been refurbished. We particularly loved the on site activities (table tennis, pétanque, pool etc) and the sitting area by the pool! There were many thoughtful touches, including toys for younger children, board games and a well stocked kitchen. The site managers were on hand to help with any queries and advise on places to visit. The Manoir is well located close to Casteljaloux for supermarket, shops, market etc and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. We’d certainly love to stay here again!
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.
We had such a grat time here! We are only sorry that our stay wasn't longer. The children loved the house and especially the swimming pool. Hopefully we will be back!
We were very impressed with the whole configuration. John and Jo could not have done enough for us. They booked our veterinary appointment for our dog's return home and also reserved a table for us in a restaurant for our last evening. The barn is arranged for families and there is a lot to do for children. The kitchen was well equipped and we were greeted with a beautiful chocolate cake and fresh cream.
Beautiful villa. We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous villa. It's in a lovely quiet village. The pool is perfect for two and the villa is very comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.
We had a great time at Joli Fleuron with a real nice and hot September month. The house is really big and super well-equipped. Lots of details and little thoughts have made our stay so wonderful. Frederic was very reactive and always very friendly. We loved also the large garden and the old trees providing good shade in the afternoon. The pool was amazing, very large and lots of space around with a fabulous view of Duras. The region is great for a mix between food, history and wines… perfect holidays, Thanks.
An absolute gem of a house! We came here for a fortnight with a mixture of friends, family and even a cricket team (touring France). And we had the most delightful stay. It really feels like a luxurious home from home, with lovely comfortable furniture, beautiful spacious grounds, a first rate tennis court and pool and a beautiful 'bolet' (veranda) on which to sit and enjoy the local wine… Highly recommended!
It is with a heavy heart that this 3-generation family are leaving this wonderful and magical place! We have spent a week here and we all agree that it was not long enough! Where do I begin? The château itself is truly gorgeous and to be lucky enough to stay in one with magnificent views is a dream come true. We have stayed in many places over the years and can see that a lot of thought has gone into making this such a comfortable holiday place for all, including tiny children. We hope to come back! In the meantime many thanks to Henrietta for all her help pre- and during our stay. She even organised the purchase of a new cot for our 3 year old grandson. Very thoughtful and well beyond the call of duty.
What a beautiful, well appointed home in a wonderful location. Despite the odd bit of rain we and our guests enjoyed our two week stay immensely. Thank you to the owners who were perfect hosts – helpful, friendly and on hand when needed, without encroaching an inch on our privacy. We could not have asked for more, either of you or of Domaine de Nérige. You have designed the perfect holiday home and we and our guests would have been happy to stay longer, much longer. What a wonderful stay we have had at this glorious villa. We could not stay out of the pool as we were so lucky with the weather. The pool inflatables were fantastic, children and adults enjoyed lazing around in the pool for hours on end! We had some great nights in Sarlat at 'Le Pub' watching the street performers. The villa is very well equipped and laid out allowing for us to have our own space as well as a social space. We hope to return next year.
Magnificent property, super equipped, very large swimming pool at a perfect temperature, exceptional grounds, tennis court in perfect condition, well-appointed and comfortable common areas... Hard to beat for a family vacation! The place is perfect for children and less young people... Very clean, comfortable, very pleasant, excellent communication with the owners. The best!
Swimming pool and area were kept clean and were well used (daily). The trampoline was an excellent addition for children. The toy room was very well stocked and used and all the cildren enjoyed the toys. We enjoyed some fabulous barbecues. the baby sitting service was a great bonus and the house in general was kept in top condition.
I've had the privilege to stay at Villa Lavinière for three weeks and have felt welcomed, relaxed every day. Cycling to nearby by villages, visiting the vineyards and enjoying the sun and the wine of the local area are all highly recommended. Thank you for allowing me to stay for this very special get away. I will cherish the memory of the time here.
