Rock of Rocalinaud in Beaumes-de-Venise

A walking trail in Beaumes-de-Venise, Provence that is 13km in length which varies in elevation from between 82 metres and 290 metres passes the famous rock of Rocalinaud, an unusual rock formation nicknamed 'Luna rock' due to its unique form that has been sculpted by wind and rain and salt water when it was once covered by the sea more than a million years ago. The rock is carved in to amazing shapes with views towards Beaumes-de-Venise.
