Almanarre beach, Hyères les Palmiers
Alamanarre beach in Hyères is a long beach that stretches over 5 kilometers located on the salt road. When the Mistral blows we can find a lot of high level windsurfers and kitesurfers there.
By east wind, the beach is protected and calm, the water is very clear and swimming is very pleasant.
The saltworks
On the other side of the salt road, you will find the Salins, a very pleasant and calm place to go for walks.
It is now a protected natural area, it allows you to observe the Flamingos and wild birds. Whether in winter to avoid the influx of tourists, or in summer, the salt road is a very soothing place to stroll in Hyères les Palmiers. Take out your cameras!
Guided tours on the history of salt are possible, via the Tourist Office.
A sunset at Almanarre
On summer or winter evenings it is not uncommon to find people coming there to watch the sun go down or enjoy a picnic/aperitif on the beach.
