Cucugnan, Occitanie

Traditional home set on the edge of the lovely hilltop village of Cucugnan amongst the stunning Corbières mountains and vineyards between the Mediterranean coast and the medieval citadel of Carcassonne. At the foot of Mount Tauch, Cucugnan has only about 130 inhabitants but the locality has become a major tourist hub in the region. 10 minute walk from the house to two restaurants, café bar, general store and excellent local bakery. The property benefits from uninterupted panoramic views down the valley . Accommodation over one floor with kitchen / dining room, living room with TV, DVD and Wi-Fi internet. Four bedrooms and large family bathroom plus further separate WC. Large terrace with shaded and open dining terraces. Private pool 9m x 4m with sun terrace and loungers. Table-tennis and darts. Local amenities in the village. Further amenities including supermarkets 15 minutes. Excellent wineries all around for tasting and buying. The property is set on the the famous Corbières and Fitou wine route. Lots of pretty villages to discover in the area. International airports at Perpignan, Carcassonne, Béziers and Montpellier.

The other side of the house is quiet. There are neighbours but the villa is very private and not overlooked. Great to be able to walk into the town for lunch or dinner and not need to drive! Valbonne is one of France's prettiest villages with all amenities and lovely pedestrian centre with winding streets and many restaurants and weekly street market. Supermarket, 5 minutes drive. Lovely Provençal villages to discover all around; Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Vence, Mougins, Opio, Tourettes and La-Colle-sur-Loup. Nearby Côte d'Azur coastal towns of Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Èze and Villefranche. Nice and airport, 30 minutes.
