The most beautiful villages in Occitanie

Nearly 50 of them have been labeled “Most Beautiful Village in France” and our region is one of the richest in this area. Loubressac, Carennac, Minerve and Belcastel... In Occitanie, heritage awaits you on street corners, discover our many cities of Art or History (Nîmes, Lodève, Uzès...). Rich in history, Occitanie has an immense heritage, now bringing together plots of the Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon regions, the region today occupies almost a third of France. Its historical and architectural heritage makes it one of the most beautiful French regions.

Some towns will welcome you in a very pretty, neat and flowery setting. So you can discover these towns with well-stocked green spaces such as: Alès and Nîmes, Lectoure, Ordan Larroque, Fraisse-sur-Agoût, Tarbes and Perpignan...

Conques, Aveyron

The village of Conques has countless treasures that you can discover while strolling its cobbled streets. Ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, with its Sainte-Foy Abbey Church, stained glass windows by Pierre Soulages, Bridge over the Dourdou.

Cordes-sur-Ciel, Tarn

Houses with typical roofs, artists' studios, art galleries or museums.

Bruniquel, Tarn-et-Garonne

Built on a cliff overlooking the Aveyron Valley, Bruniquel is known for its two castles, but also its cobbled streets lined with pretty flowered houses.

Najac, Aveyron

Perched, Najac is one of the rare villages in the world to have a single street. By crossing it you will arrive at the majestic fortress dominating the town. You will find a spectacular view of the wild gorges of Aveyron.

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Lot)

Village perched on its rocky peak and guarantees a total change of scenery. The streets and the houses with red tiled roofs have retained their medieval appearance.

The red roofs, the alleys, the shops have retained their medieval appearance. Its fortified church, its castle, or the Rignault museum bear witness to a rich past and justify the existence of a historical heritage.
