The Château de la Loire is a luxurious castle on the banks of the Loire, just 15 minutes from Saumur with a superb property renovated according to the rules of the art. Located in a pretty private estate that offers a breathtaking view of the river, the castle offers a superb living space composed of seven bedrooms, all equipped with large double beds or single beds, and a bathroom or water en suite.

The Castle offers 14 beds, two large living rooms and a double kitchen. It can accommodate up to 16 people with its Côté Loire Spa and its heated swimming corridor in a vaulted cellar, a Nordic bath and private gardens.

Only a 15-minute walk from the castle, this picturesque village is nestled between the cave houses and the Loire. The views offered and the sunsets are beautiful. You can explore the castle and the alleys of the village, as well as the market, and enjoy a traditional lunch on the banks of the Loire while appreciating its tranquillity.

Fontevraud, a must-see village

Fontevraud is recognised for having welcomed prisoners from all over France. Located just 15 minutes from the Domain you will find a multitude of restaurants. Stroll through the picturesque alleys, explore the Abaye de Fontevraud, an internationally known site.

Visit by bike

You will have the opportunity to visit the Loire towards the West and discover its small troglodyte villages before joining Saumon and its Castle perched above the Loire. Join Fontevraud from the south and enjoy a visit to Fontevraud Abbey. In the north you can discover the Brain forest on Allones. Run along the Vienne towards Chinon and discover its fortress and the life of Rabelais. Along the Loire you will discover the Ligurian villages up to the Château de Rigny-Ussé. To the north, stroll through the hectares of vineyards at the Saint Nicolas de Bourgueuil appellation.
