Pure France, Tour de France. Day 6, Sarlat-la-Caneda
The tour contunues. Traveling around France is always exciting, especially when you can spend some time touring the vineyards of Bordeaux and their magnificent chateaux.
Today we have the pleasure of visiting a superb chateau and wine estate of 5.5 hectares, close to the famous wine-producing village of Saint Emilion.
Within the grounds of the chateaux is a wonderful, fully restored home that is now available for holiday rentals.
The high quality interior design of the house features a lovely kitchen, living area and three ensuite bedrooms.
Outside is a shaded terrace overlooking the private pool and views over the surrounding vineyards.
It's a one minute walk to the local restaurant and the owners of the chateau offer concierge services for the renters. New to the market, the property is currently available for the full summer season.
It's then a relaxing drive along the Dordogne river to the hugely popular town of Sarlat-le-Canéda. It's a very classy, traditional Périgord town with a fabulous medieval centre with winding streets and fascinating architecture.
The square comes alive at night with a huge choice of excellent restaurants.
