Périgord Noir Aquarium, the Bugue sur Vézère
The Périgord Noir Aquarium, the Bugue sur Vézère is the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe. It was built more than 30 years ago it is the aquarium of the Périgord noir which extends over 4,000 m² with 66 ponds and more than 6,000 fish: through carp, catfish, to the impressive sturgeons of the estuaries, freshwater fish. Since 2014, you will also discover other species such as reptiles, Alligators, Caymans, Iguans or Reptiles that will surprise you on more than 2,000 m².

You will enter the world of Jo Mc Clark, famous alligator hunter. On more than 1500 m² you will have 7 atmospheres to discover.
A dive into an underwater world
In addition to fish, the aquarium also offers a section dedicated to reptiles, including turtles, iguanas, and several species of snakes. The site makes it a point of honor to preservation and education, offering explanations for animal behavior, their natural habitats and the threats they face.

The Périgord Noir Aquarium offers a range of interactive activities to enrich the experience of visitors.
