The art of living of the Duras

You will find his weekly market, which is held every Monday morning. Beautiful stalls full of local products: cheeses, cold meats, seasonal fruits and vegetables, not to mention local wines. It is an ideal opportunity to meet producers and taste regional specialties.

Discovering the Dordogne

The house is ideally located for those who would like to visit the Dordogne valley with its world-renowned prehistoric cave paintings, caves and prehistoric cave dwellings, as well as the romantic mediaeval castles of the Dordogne and the "Bastides" cities (fortified market cities) almost identical to what they were 600 years ago.

A world-renowned wine tasting is available locally in the regions of Duras, Sauterne, Marmande, Bergerac and Monbazillac as well as in Graves, Médoc and in the picturesque mediaeval town of Saint-Émilion.

Nearby, you will find Bordeaux, with its beautiful opera house, art galleries, museums, shops and beautiful sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast, are just over an hour's drive away.

In addition, Biarritz, located further South on the Atlantic coast, is always nearby for a day trip.
