Le Sentier du Littoral, Cap d'Antibes
Cap d'Antibes - a beautiful and famous peninsula penetrating the Mediterranean sea, playground to the rich and famous, and favoured holiday destination for domestic and international travellers.
Antibes is undeniably charming and picturesque with its famous old town and winding streets full of artisan shops and traditional restaurants.
The Cap juts out into the tourquoise sea and offers some lovely beaches with waterside café bars, the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and residential streets lined with pine trees and luxury millionaire homes.
Relatively unknown, Le Sentier du Littoral is a 5 km coastal walk around the southern-most tip of the Cap. The two hour trek takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery along the Mediterranean coast. The winding, stone path takes you along the waterfront, down to the water level itself and to elevated heights. Good shoes essential...
Begin at the pretty beach of Garoupe, where you’ll find the start of the footpath that runs along the sea. After walking around 2.5 kms take the Chemin des Douaniers on the right, to leave the seafront. Then turn left onto Avenue Mrs Beaumont. Continue on this avenue to Boulevard Kennedy, where you will turn right to rejoin the Avenue Tour Gandolphe, then Avenue André Sella, which will return you to the car park for Garoupe beach.
Pure France has this fabulous property available for summer holiday rentals just a few minutes from the beginning of the walk;
