La Franqui beach

The lovely unspoilt beach resort in the Languedoc, La Franqui beach is a hidden gem, half an hour from Narbonne. Visit for a relaxed vibe and a lovely, large sandy beach.

La Franqui has remained unspoilt and not overdeveloped. You will find a huge sandy beach which is never crowded even in the height of summer.

You can reach La Franqui beach by train from Narbonne or by car, easily from the A9 motorway. There is plenty of free parking along the beach front, just follow the signs for 'Plage'.

Safe and family friendly, the sea is calm and shallow and perfect for small children to splash around.

There are several cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink and a plate of 'moules frites' with a view of the beach.

Visit in April and enjoy the famous windsurfing and kitesurfing contest, the 'Mondial du Vent'.
