La Bastide Haute Colline in a hilly countryside, surrounded by woods and agriculture
Current owners rebuild the ruins of this lovely 'ferme fortifie' in the original style using old materials. Antique fireplaces, floor tiles and wooden beams, combined with modern technology in kitchen, linen room and bathrooms.
The oldest part the builders found is a wall in the wine cellar from the 13th century.
La Bastide Haute Colline is situated only 6 km from Monflanquin, a medieval village and home town for a few years to the famous Black Prince (1330-1376), now buried in the Canterbury Cathedral, UK and 10 km from the famous Castle Biron, which is historically interesting to visit and where there are concerts and other performances in the evenings during the summer season.
La Bastide Haute Colline is a calm and spacious house (no direct neighbours) with many spots to enjoy in the sun or shade and swimming.
Also on the terrace of the tower there is a magnificent view in all directions and a lovely spot for drinks in the late afternoon.
Outside the property there are many possibilities for cycling.
