Château de Cheverny in the Loire Valley, famous for its magnificent interiors
The Château de Cheverny is a French Loire castle located in Sologne, in the town of Cheverny, in the department of Loir-et-Cher and the Center-Val de Loire region.
Classified to the historic monuments, this castle was raised in the 18th century, in a rigorously classic style. The story of Château Cheverny begins with its first owner, Henry Le Mareschau, in 1315.
The Vibraye family, which is now a current owner of the castle, attracts thousands of visitors each year who admire its magnificent interiors with its collections of furniture and tapestries, as well as many famous paintings.
The Château de Cheverny is well known for having appeared in the fiction "Marlinspike Hall", in the books "The adventures of Tintin".

The dogs of Chaverny
The Chenils date from 1850. Did you know? The Château de Cheverny still houses 120 Anglo-French dogs from a crossroads from a cross between English Fox and French Poitevins.
Dogs have more than 2,000 m² of meadow. Accustomed to life in packs, they appreciate proximity and are very close to each other.

The Château de Cheverny welcomed a great French classic.
The castle that inspired Hergé for the adventures of Tintin. It is in the album "The secret of the unicorn" that we discover for the first time the castle of Moulinsart. The Tintin reporter was then held prisoner in the basements of the castle.
