Château de Brézé in the Loire Valley
Unique medieval fortress from the 11th century with 1 km of underground tunnels. With a history dating back to the 11th century and having been completely transformed from the 16th and 19th centuries, Château de Brézé now produces wine from local vineyards. The Château de Brézé has medieval and Renaissance architectural features, but the most interesting part is the tunnels, located 1 km long under the castle. The Château de Brézé is open to the public and offers guided tours. They also organize a medieval tournament during the summer, with games, music, markets and demonstrations.
