The lake, known also as 'Carcassonne Plage' (Carcassonne beach) has sandy and pebble beaches and a woodland track you can walk around (taking approximately 1 hour 30 minutes at a gentle stroll).

Activities available at the lake include boating, a zip-wire circuit, inflatables, children's play area, crazy golf, volleyball and boules courts. There are designated safe swimming areas and a snack bar.

This beautiful lake is a great substitute to the sea (and safe too). It is easy to reach, with plenty of free parking and makes a fun day out if you are on holiday nearby.
