Cannes Natural Forest Park - La Croix des Gardes
Barely a few minutes from the Croisette, the city of Cannes is home to a well-kept secret: the Croix-des-Gardes natural forest park.
This corner of nature in the heart of the city is a small paradise for walkers and lovers of Mediterranean flora.
The Croix des Gardes natural forest park is an 80-hectare site nestled on the heights of Cannes, north of the city center.
It is, with Sainte-Marguerite Island, one of the last two green lungs of the town of Cannes. Along the walk, we discover different points of view on the Bay of Cannes, its islands and the Estérel massif. It is on the site of the Croix des Gardes that the first mimosas were exploited to offer, during the last century and on all the European flower markets, magnificent bouquets of mimosas.
Exceptional panoramas
The views of the park make it an exceptional place. The landscapes and bay of Cannes, the islands of Lérins but also the surrounding mountains such as the Estérel massif and the Pre-Alps. A 360 panoramic view that deserves a good pair of binoculars.
