Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

The property is located 10 minutes drive from the village of Lembeye, between Pau, Tarbes and Aire-sur-l’Adour.

Lembeye with all local amenities including small supermarket, bakery, bar, restaurants, newsagent, pharmacy and bank.

Horse riding centre 10 km away in Saint-Laurent-Bretagne.

Montaner castle, 20 minutes drive.

Pau, 30 minutes drive, is the nearest large town with many parks, restaurants, cafés-bar-tapas, all amenities, shops and hypermarkets. Boulevard des Pyrénées ("La Promenade") and the castle offer panoramic views on the Pyrénées mountains.

You must see the 14th Century castle where the French king Henri IV was born. It now hosts the National Museum and a great collection of tapestries, the Money Tower (Béarn had its own currency by then ; coins were minted there until the French Revolution) and the Renaissance gardens.

Pau became one of the most attractive spa resorts of Western Europe in the nineteenth century. Pau also has a Funicular, the fine art museum and the Resistance museum.

There is a 9-hole golf course in Pau, 37 minutes drive. Or try the golf simulator in the Golf Lounge, a bar-tapas on the edge of Pau.

Aquasport Park in the center offering hydrospeed, airboat and rafting activities, as well as a restaurant. There is a Youpi Park for the little ones.

Lake Aressy, 30 minutes drive.

Mauvezin castle and Gaston Fébus Museum, 55 minutes drive

Pyrénées National Park and its extraordinary landscape and fauna, only 1 hour away, along the Spanish border. Many outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, paragliding or just discovering and watching the endemic wildlife and plants including chamois.

Many karst valleys or U-shaped valleys, cirques, caves and lakes.

Médous caves 1 hour.

Cirque de Gavarnie, 1 hour 50 minutes, is a must-see.

The famous Pic du Midi 1 hour 25 minutes.

Lake Carnau, 2 hour 20 minutes.

Mont Perdu is also a Unesco World Heritage Site on the border (2 hour 50 minutes).

Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées airport, 38 minutes drive.

Biarritz airport, 1 hour 30 minutes.

Toulouse or Bordeaux airports both 2 hours 30 minutes.
