Major supermarkets and all shops in Villeneuve, Fumel and Agen (20 - 30 minutes).

Location

The property is located in open countryside, 5 minutes from the lovely hilltop town of Beauville, 20 minutes from Villeneuve and Agen in the Lot and Garonne.

Amenities in Beauville include; restaurant, café bar, grocery store and bakery, pharmacy, bank and Doctor.

Major supermarkets and all shops in Villeneuve, Fumel and Agen (20 - 30 minutes).

The pretty villages of Lauzerte, Tournon d'Agenais and Puy-l'Évêque are close by, all offering lovely cafés and restaurants for those hot summer evenings. Moissac, which featured in Rick Stein's French Odyssey, has roman cloisters, a beautiful Abbey and the 'Pont de Napoleon' restaurant.

Ancient bastide village of Penne-d'Agenais (15 minutes). The old village is a warren of little streets and lovely old stone houses that wind up the hill to the basilica and lovely views across the countryside. Just on the market square is a general grocery store and there are various artisan workshops and several reasonably priced restaurants.

We very much enjoyed our holiday at La Belle Vue de Beauville and would rent this property again. The accommodation was very good and as described. It was clean, well presented and fully equipped. It was spacious for six people and big enough for 8. The patio and pool area were superb and benefited from the sun all day including up to sunset. The unheated pool had a cover and the water was always warm enough, between 26 and 29 degrees. There was always a beautiful panoramic view of the countryside from any position and it was immediately accessible from the property, with lovely walks and wildlife to be seen at all times. The rural location was very tranquil and quiet. The owners next door were always very helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Agen was about 30 minutes by car, Beauville 10 minutes or about 30 minutes of easy walking on foot through some lovely French countryside.

We had a superb holiday at La Belle Vue de Beauville. The views are indeed stunning and the locale is just superb. The property is excellent and suited our party just perfectly. We loved the three levels - Bedroom level on entrance floor, living quarters on the lower floor and the pool down below at the third level. The property is very well appointed and all our needs were well catered for. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The pool and its surrounds is excellent. Beauville is a lovely village with an excellent boulongerie and small grocers. The owners were perfect hosts. Whilst wholly unobtrusive, they were always willing to provide information and assist in whatever way they could. The owner was particularly helpful on the question of fishing. It transpired they have a small lake on the property which is surrounded by trees and used as a watering hole by the deer. However he gave permission for us to clear an area sufficiently to enable us to cast a rod. The fish were plentiful and provided great sport. Our grandson thus had a wonderful introduction to the sport. We were very grateful to the owner for allowing us to use his lake. All in all a perfect holiday. We have no hesitation recommending La Belle Vue de Beauville and Pure France.
