Another wonderful week at La Roujal. We have enjoyed every minute, especially the lovely pool in this hot weather. Much table tennis has also been played! We visited the caves at Gouffre de Padirac (well worth the drive) and went canoeing on the Lot this time. We recommend both. Thank you Nic and Doug for your generous hospitality. A bientôt!

David and Beverly (6 July - 20 July 2024)
A very enjoyable stay at La Roujal, a lovely, well appointed house with so many interesting places to visit within easy reach. Sarlat was impressive and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie was beautiful, as were the many other old medieval towns nearby. We enjoyed the local market and thought Prayssac (Friday's) was the best. Doug and Nic have been very helpful throughout our say and we are grateful for recommendations and guidance. Thank you.

Stuart and Sue (29 June - 6 July 2024)

Heaven on earth for us and a very happy dog.
Well, well, well, hot, hot, hot 45 degrees thankfully we had a lovely pool and games room to enjoy just doing nothing in. Great accommodation, great company, great chess and wine. Thanks Nikki for accommodating us. See you in the future.
We love this beautiful house and the stunning setting. It is very well equipped and anything we needed Nic (the owner) was on hand. We would recommend Chateau de Chabert for wine tasting and tapas. We also had a lovely meal at Hostellerie de Gaujourac with live music. The pool area has been great for us as a social hub and a welcomed cool dip in the 45 degree heat. We will be coming again.
What a fabulous week, lots of great recommendations for sightseeing and wine tasting. Nic is a fabulous host who could not do enough. Sorry to be going after our wonderful time. The house is very well equipped and we love the pool kitchen area and outside dining. Stunning. Thank you.

Pete,Louise,Toby,Eddie,Grace,Mia (08/23)
We fell in love with this beautiful house and scenic setting. Our top recommendation for a visit would have to be Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a beautiful hillside village. For us it even topped Racamadour! Hopefully we can come back one day and jumo in the pool again.

Sarah,Matthew,Emily,Archie,Maisie and Henry (07/2023)
We have had an amazing two weeks despite the weather. There was lots to do, most things within an hours drive. We particularly enjoyed a day trip canoeing down the Dordogne starting at Sarlat, very scenic. We also loved the lake at Catus with lots of different things to do there. Nic and Doug have been very helpful and welcoming. Thank you.

Just ending a wonderful week at La Roujal. So sorry to leave! What a wonderful place with such character. Very well fitting out. Just superb. We enjoyed visits to the many pretty hilltop villages and Château de Bonaguil a huge spectacular château and Domme in the North (very lovely old town with great views over the river and decent interesting shops. Do try the crepe cafe, specialising in nuts - really good! Coming back another time.
