Parsons and James Families, 31 August - 7 September 2024
Great place!! We really enjoyed our week here. Pool, excitement of the stay, the tortoise and the location.
We think that the tortoise should be named Trevor. :)
We loved Bordeaux. Some great restaurants in Libourne: MA Restaurant and Bistro Maritime. Very enjoyable wine cellar tour and tasting at Château de la Rivière just up the road. Recommend Grotte Pair-non-Pair near Bourg.
Thank you from us all !

We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home.
We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards.
All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
Walls family, 24 - 31 August 2024
We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!).
Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'.
We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day.
We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
Aumeerally Family, 3 - 17 August 2024
Thank you for a great 2-week stay here. The house is lovely and we have enjoyed staying here.
Can highly recommend the Château de la Rivière vineyard tour, 10 Euros per person and well worth it.
Best meals out we had were at Bistro Pharell (the food is sooo good!) and Bistro Maritime in Libourne - great river views from the terrace.
Saint-Émilion is a must - so beautiful.
If you are a fish lover, a trip out to Arcachon is well worth a visit.
Chez Pierre is amazing for seafood.
Dunes du Pilat are also worth the climb for the spectacular views!
Sunny evenings by the pool are also amazing.
Had a great time overall, thanks so much.
PS. We think the tortoise should be called Therry (Titi to short) fora tortoise he can move fairly quickly!
And loves lettuce!
And tomatoes!

We have enjoyed a wonderful week in your stunning house. Mostly enjoying the weather and pool!
We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house, beside the river.
Everything really comfortable and close to lots of things to do.
We had a lovely day in Bordeaux visiting the fantastic cathedral and the great shops.
Sadly, we are going home tomorrow but will remember our visit fondly.
