Bookings run from 4:00pm on your day of arrival to 10:00am on your day of departure.

Bookings include electricity, water, linen, towels and pool towels (not beach towels).

Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

The house is set on the edge of the perched village of Cucugnan amongst the stunning scenery between Perpignan 45 minutes and the Mediterranean coast and Carcassonne 90 minutes.

Cucugnan is a traditional hilltop village on the Corbières and Fitou Wine route and Cathar Châteaux Route.

10 minute walk into the village with general store, bakery / café. Two restaurants and café bar.

Further amenities including supermarkets in larger towns of Maury and Touchan, both 15 minutes drive.

Local towns and activities;

- Padern: Café (La Petit Ardoise) nice Coffee and Cake stop and Salads for lunch.

- Duilhac: 'Le Moulin', lovely restaurant with shaded outside terrace and Tapas bar next door.

- Paziols: Café and small supermarket with range of fruit and vegetables.

- Rouffiac: 'La Petite Epicerie', bistro with local food.

- Soulatge: Artisan Market on one evening in the summer – Nice local micro brewery, stalls and musicians.

- St. Paul: Supermarket and 24 hour petrol, with pharmacy opposite. An excellent butcher specialises in Catalan sausage, great steak etc.

- Estagel: well stocked small Supermarket and petrol station. Bank, Shops.

- Rivesaltes:. Train services, including train to Collioure. Good medium sized Intermarché supermarket.

- Collioure: pretty Catalan costal town, Market Sunday, good anchovies and sardines.

- Ceret: Musee of Modern Art, Tapas Bars, restaurants. Centre of Sardane-Catalan Dancing, big displays in the summer.

- Perpignan: Good food and shopping in the centre. Hypermarkets.

- Limoux: Good size supermarket, variety of shops, Famous for its sparkling wine.

- Carcassonne: medieval walled citadel, good family day out, Canal du Midi.

- Le Perthus: Frontier town: cheap clothes, drink etc.

- Figueras (Spain); Dali Museum.

- Aqualand: large water park.

- Petit Train Rouge: jump on and off through the valley.

- Parapenting/ white water rafting/ mountain biking / quad biking / horse riding also available in the area.

- Randonee routes (walking) for various levels and abilities.

A lovely family week in this perfect house in an idyllic situation on the edge of the charming village of Cucugnan. The house is well-equipped and the pool is fabulous! The barbecue and table-tennis also much appreciated.
The house is a short walk into the village where we visited two bars and an excellent family -run restaurant (Auberge du Vigneron). Also enjoyed ‘Burger Friday’ at the bar.
The village shop has all the basics. We also did a ‘degustation’ (wine-tasting) in the village and visited two of the nearby fascinating Cathar Castles – there is plenty to do in the area but the house is also perfect for relaxing. We will be back!

A lovely house in a spectacular location. Thanks for a fabulous time in this amazing part of France. The surrounding scenery was spectacular - unforgettable views from the house and pool terrace. Everything we needed in the house and super pool area. Local shops and restaurants within walking distance were great. What a brilliant find!
