Introduction

This is a large, family holiday home, mixing traditional and modern comfort, set in a rural area between Saint-Tropez and La Croix Valmer, 8 minutes from local beaches, with views over the Maures mountains and up to the hilltop village of Gassin.

The house started life as the railway station for Gassin, the line being removed in the early 1940s. The house has been extended and renovated to offer spacious accommodation together with 8 acres of private grounds - large lawn, gardens, palms and other mature trees, a working vineyard, private heated pool 12.5m x 6m and newly updated tennis court.

Entry via electric gates, long driveway – plenty of space to park cars and boats.

Open plan living, (with kitchen), dining and living areas all opening to dining terrace and garden.
Separate sitting room with Wi-Fi internet and TV. Three ground floor double bedrooms (one ensuite) and two with double and single beds plus two further family bathrooms.

Upstairs: two double bedrooms, one ensuite, the other with bathroom and separate WC.

Sleeps maximum 12 people.

Spacious, covered dining terrace running length of house, giving onto lawn and gardens.

The property is off the D599 between Saint-Tropez and La Croix Valmer, 5 minutes from Gassin by car and 20 minutes walk.

Restaurant close by – 100m.

Excellent local restaurants at Gassin and La Croix Valmer; supermarket 4 minutes at La Foux. More supermarket choices at Cogolin, 10 minutes. All amenities, including excellent bakery at La Croix Valmer.

8 minutes to local, white sand beaches with beach restaurants plus many more at Pampelonne, conveniently accessible via back roads, 15 minutes.

Saint-Tropez, 15 minutes. Cafes/restaurants, bright and colourful market twice weekly with diverse local produce and gifts, yacht envy, art galleries (famous Annonciade), shopping, people watching – endlessly interesting.

The local vineyards offer attractive tasting opportunities and excellent rose.

Nice airport approx 1 hr 15 minutes drive.

« We've stayed at this house many times and have always enjoyed its rustic charms and comfortable surroundings. It is roomy enough to accommodate plenty of family members and guests and it never feels crowded.
The pool and outside areas are perfect retreats to relax and unwind in and the tennis court is of a good club standard so there are no excuses not to get active. For family meals the outside terrace is super and for more formal occasions there are numerous quality restaurants nearby.
