The property is located 2 minutes drive from the village of Vidauban. Vidauban has all amenities including great restaurants, café bars and shops.
Vidauban is a very pretty, typically Provençal village situated between Draguignan (18 km) and Saint-Tropez (40 km).
Budget airline airports at Nice (88 km) and Toulon (62 km). Cannes is 60 km.
Beautiful village of Aups, famous for its olive oil, 30 minutes away. Lac de Sainte-Croix and the spectacular Verdon Gorge less than an hour away. Don't miss a visit to the stunning village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
Many picture postcard, typical Provençal villages all around including Châteaudouble, Bargemeon, Callas, Seillans and Callian.
Mediterranean coastline lies less 50 minutes away with a superb choice of lovely beaches; Sainte-Maxime, Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Tropez and Cannes.
Nearby Saint-Tropez is perhaps the most famous beach resort in the world after Brigitte Bardot arrived in 1956 to make the film 'Et Dieu Créa la Femme'. Since then, Saint-Tropez has become synonymous with its celebrity lifestyle and Mediterranean chicness. It certainly is an appealing place; a little fishing village on the Southern shores of the Golfe de Saint-Tropez. The 'Vieux Port', with the old town rising above the Eastern quay is where you'll get the classic Saint-Tropez experience. Choose from many sidewalk cafés to just sit and watch people go by.
The village has a huge choice of shops, cafés, restaurants, picturesque squares, winding streets and beautiful architecture to admire. Lively night-life clubs and cultural events. Several beaches to choose from.
Just outside Saint-Tropez is Port-Grimaud, a charming Provençal town built in the 1960's and based on the layout of Venice; brightly coloured houses stand (and float) on private lagoons and waterways. It is a truly spectacular sight. Perfect for a gentle stroll to admire the architecture and the boats. Lots of cafés and brasserie restaurants. Boat trips leave here for a tour around the bay.
Facing Saint-Tropez across the gulf is Sainte-Maxime, a pretty and traditional Riviera town with long promenade and palm trees. Delightful stretches of Mediterranean beaches with all water sports. No better way to spend an evening than to choose one of the restaurants or bars on the waterside and just watch the boats and the lights out on the bay.
Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël are similar to Sainte-Maxime and offer further shops, markets and restaurants. Fréjus has a Roman amphitheatre and hosts many summer concerts.
« I have stayed in this property twice now, once with family and once with a group. Both times have been excellent. The villa itself is large, spacious with all the facilities you will ever need and very well maintained. On the last visit, it was noticeable that money had been spent modernising the interior. The key asset is the large pool which is fantastic. We spent most of our time using the kitchen and barbeque area in the pool house and dipping in and out of the pool. Very relaxing. The grounds are large too so plenty of space for the kids to run around safely. Vidauban itself is a traditional French village with shops, cafes and restaurants around the town square etc., and slightly further afield good access to the Cote d’Azur, several water parks and the gorgeous and picturesque Lac du Verdon, with a plethora of water activities from windsurfing, to pedal boat rentals, and of course a great number of Vineyards to sample the local Rose wine. Recommend very highly. » Mark, London
« I spent a week at this villa in September with my young family. It was perfect. Villa: The property itself is beautiful. It enjoys a large plot and is nicely secluded. The property is very well maintained. The bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen etc. look as they have recently been refurbished. The pool area/gardens are stunning and very well secluded. There is a pool-house equipped with a brick barbecue, kitchen/dining area and shower/toilet. We spent most of our time in this area. Location: The drive from Nice airport is about 45mins - it's quite a straightforward journey, mostly on the motorway. I believe Marseille airport is a similar distance away. The property sits in a very nice, secluded area close to many vineyards. The town square (Vidauban) is about 5 minutes’ drive from the property. There you will find everything you need from supermarkets through to restaurants and bars. St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco are all under 1 hour away by car Overall, I would highly recommend this villa. I have stayed at other villas in France, which have felt quite dated. This property has been very well maintained & modernised, but still has that French charm about it. We will definitely be returning to this property » Bromley, Kent UK
