The property is located less than a 10 minutes walk from the traditional, Provençal village of Callian with restaurants, 2 café bars, bakery and other small shops.
Callian (population 2,465) lies 30 km North of Cannes and 22 km East of Grasse. Toulon airport (Stansted).
Nice airport 40 km (less than 1 hour's drive from luggage reclaim to the front door). Flights from BA, Air France, Easy Jet, BmiBaby and Ryanair. New flight-route Stansted to Toulon (75 minutes drive to the front door).
A large supermarket lies less than 5 minutes from the property. Superb local Farmer's Market every week. Street market in Montauroux every Tuesday.
White water rafting for the more daring visitors in the Gorges du Verdon.
There are over 30 courses within an hour's drive of the house, but you can find an outstanding 36 holes at The Four Seasons Terre Blanche resort, 5 minutes across the valley.
There are numerous marked cycling paths in the area, but don't forget the many off road tracks through the forests as well.
Nearby Fayence is a European centre for gliding and you can experience the beauty of Provence from the air with a half hour 'sightseeing' tour.
The Domaine de Fayence and the Four Seasons Resort have excellent spa facilities which are open to non residents.
The local horse riding centre is only 5 minutes away and is available for lessons and trekking.
Sailing, kayaking and water sports;
Kids will love the pedalos at Lac de Saint-Cassien just 10 minutes away, but you also have the choice of sea water sports centres at Saint-Raphaël or Fréjus; kayaking on the pristine lakes of the Gorges du Verdon, or the beaches of the Côte d'Azur.
For the kids;
If they get tired of all the other activities, Marineland in Antibes, and the zoo in Fréjus are always popular.
Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix for breathtaking scenery.
Grasse is also the 'perfume capital of the world' and lies 30 minutes from the house. Spectacular old village with winding streets and stunning views. Excellent restaurants and cafés. Endless opportunities to sample and purchase perfume, as well as visits to the manufacturers to see the rose petals being transformed into scent. Make your own perfume too.
Visit Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, the preferred hang-outs for many celebrities. Amazing night-life with many clubs, bars and restaurants.
Nearby Saint-Tropez is perhaps the most beach resort in the world after Brigitte Bardot arrived in 1956 to make the film 'Et Dieu Créa la Femme'. Since then, Saint-Tropez has become synonymous with its celebrity lifestyle and Mediterranean chicness. It certainly is an appealing place; a little fishing village on the Southern shores of the Golfe de Saint-Tropez. The 'Vieux Port', with the old town rising above the Eastern quay is where you'll get the classic Saint-Tropez experience. Choose from many sidewalk cafés to just sit and watch people go by.
The village has a huge choice of shops, cafés, restaurants, picturesque squares, winding streets and beautiful architecture to admire. Lively night-life clubs and cultural events. Several beaches to choose from.
Just outside Saint-Tropez is Port-Grimaud, a charming Provençal town built in the 1960's and based on the layout of Venice; brightly coloured houses stand (and float) on private lagoons and waterways. It is a truly spectacular sight. Perfect for a gentle stroll to admire the architecture and the boats. Lots of cafés and brasserie restaurants. Boat trips leave here for a tour around the bay.
Facing Saint-Tropez across the gulf is Sainte-Maxime, a pretty and traditional Riviera town with long promenade and palm trees. Delightful stretches of Mediterranean beaches with all water sports. No better way to spend an evening than to choose one of the restaurants or bars on the waterside and just watch the boats and the lights out on the bay.
Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël are similar to Sainte-Maxime and offer further shops, markets and restaurants. Fréjus has a Roman amphitheatre and hosts many summer concerts.

« I just thought it might be worth dropping you an email to say what a fantastic time we had in the villa. It really was a delight - a stunning villa with amazing views , close enough to the village to walk but far enough away to feel in the country. Everything was perfect and we wouldn't have changed a thing - apart from staying longer of course ! » N Craven
« Beautifully situated villa in the mountains at Callian with spectacular views over the valley below. Well-presented secluded property with split level terraces giving a variety of choice for meals and general relaxation. Swimming pool ideally situated for afternoon relaxing. Callian village has a small supermarket, butchers and a patisserie/boulangerie within 5 minutes walk. A small selection of cafes/bars and a couple of good restaurants. Good supermarkets and farm shops within a few minutes’ drive. Be prepared for hill walking and mountain road driving! Walking especially good for the heart! Nice airport 50 minutes’ drive and the coast easily reached if preferred. However we would recommend exploring the mountain villages and enjoying the ambiance and village life. Would highly recommend this lovely villa for an enjoyable holiday! » Horsfield family
« The property lived up to the promise of the pictures and details, and you have been helpful and efficient. We had a wonderful holiday and will certainly use you again and I will recommend you to friends and family. » Debs Rushton - UK
