The villa Grand Bleu takes its name from the expansive, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean that you look out to from the house, terrace, infinity pool and garden.
Its a beautiful setting, just two minutes out of the picturesque, seaside town of Collioure. The views are possibly the best that you can experience along the whole Mediterranean coast.
The villa, unprecedentedly designed by a consortium of three architects, from French, South African and Irish roots, have produced a contemporary design in contrast with the distinctly Mediterranean vernacular elsewhere in Collioure.
The sheltered villa allows its exterior spaces to flow from the interior which in turn allows a unique inside-out living experience. Of note is the superb roof- top terrace with bean-bags and an outdoor fireplace (with abundant sea views) overlooking the floodlit Fort Saint-Elme.
Spacious accommodation of nearly 500 m² (+ 300 m² of terraces) over three floors with air-conditioning throughout; the main floor has large living room with sea-views, feature fireplace, large plasma TV with UK satellite channels and Wi-Fi internet.
Fully-equipped kitchen leads to a lovely Conservatory with full-height, glass accordion doors and windows that open fully to incorporate the room into the fresh air (pool-side).

The property is situated in a residential area on a prominent coastal road, 1 minute from the centre of Collioure.
Collioure is a particularly chic and picturesque seaside town on the Mediterranean coast between Perpignan and the Spanish border.
Excellent restaurants 2 minutes walk. Mediterranean beaches and many, many traditional, pavement and beach-side restaurants and café bars within 5 - 10 minutes walk. All shops and amenities.
This area holds great appeal as the scenery of the Pyrénées mountains reach down to the deep blue Mediterranean sea and internationally famous scuba waters of 'Le Golfe du Lion'. Nearby, you will find golf, equestrian, and tennis, plus boat charter, scub diving, scooter or bike hire are all readily available. We highly recommend a hike along the fantastic headland paths, 'Sentier Littoral', plus a stroll through the vineyards behind the villa or to the superb Fish Market in Port Vendre 'Côte Catalane Poissonnerie', it's like Harrods in your back garden.
Neighbouring resort of Argeles-sur-Mer, 5 minutes with long, sandy beaches, and all amenities. Further array of restaurants and bars etc and numerous amusements and evening entertainments for children / teenagers / adults.
For history lovers, there is Perpignan, the seat of the Kings of Majorca, Romanesque abbeys and the cloisters at Elne, the cathar castles, and countless ancient villages with their squares and churches.
For music lovers there are several festivals in the summer: the famous Pablo Casals festival in Prades, the Peralada festival across the border in Spain and right next door in Château Valmy there is a weekend Flamenco Festival and an eclectic weekend music festival, the Mediterranées.
