Location

The property is situated in open countryside near Boudy-de-Beauregard, 5 minutes from Monflanquin.

Monflanquin is an old bastide town with winding streets and fabulous views. All amenities in the village including large supermarket, cafés, restaurants, bakeries. Traditional street market every Thursday morning.

Free tennis court 1½ km.
Castelnaud golf club 6½ km.
Bergerac 45 minutes.

Excellent restaurants and many vineyards for wine-tasting within 30 minutes.

The Dordogne area of France is one of the most beautiful and one of the most popular. Lovely countryside interspersed with medieval, bastide towns and fairytale châteaux rise from the morning mist.

Its a great region for food lovers; all the Perigordian specialities such as Foie Gras, confit d'oie and canard, mushrooms of all types are in abundance.

Many antique markets throughout the year. All info at the tourist information office.

Bergerac (30 minutes) was once a flourishing port for the wine trade. It still today has a picturesque harbour where you can take a boat trip along the river Dordogne, or a miniature train ride around the Bastide town, viewing the many half timbered houses with terracotta decoration.

Reviews

« Le Presbytère genuinely exceeded our expectations in all areas. We primarily booked this property for the covered eating and relaxing area adjacent to a fabulous heated pool, and the number of bedrooms. The history and setting of the property, and it’s views to the rear over beautiful countryside, were a real bonus and joy. The wildlife was of real interest to us all and the table tennis was played regularly by us all. Mark and Amanda were friendly and keen to help with any queries we had. Thank you again and in particular for providing the electric fans which were essential during such a hot period in July. We don’t usually return to the same property on holiday but just might make an exception with Le Presbytère! »  Matthews family, England

« What a spectacular home away from home!
Thank you for creating a beautiful and welcoming space where we could explore this beautiful region. Every detail, every room - magnificent »  The Fallas, Thompsons's, Maysons and Dante's Australia

« Writing this sitting at the table & chairs by the well - blue skies and warm sunshine, it has been a perfect week, absolutely loved everything about the house, garden and pool - so hard to leave. To make the stay even more special, I celebrated my 60th birthday with all my family and we had yummy cakes delined by Amanda - huge thank you. »  Angie, Rob, Nicki, David, Jonas, Matt, Bex, Luke and Han.

« Amazing Chateau!!!! Stunning weather! Five families came together from different places: Canada, Wales, England. We enjoyed ourselves and each other's company. We hope to come again to this lovely place with friendly spirits. »  Janet Burgess, Sean and Andrea,

« A little attention. The high quality fittings and furnishings say a great deal. Our compliments to the owners. Having stayed in many other rental properties over the years, it makes
a real and tangible differance. Amanda is a perfect welcome host too! »

« Sadly leaving. What a truly delightful house this is and how warm and welcoming it has been for our family of 9 travelling from Australia to celebrate two 50th birthdays. Despite the heat we have been comfortable and happy, exploring many towns and locations and enjoying the pool and the house. The kitchen was perfect, all the little extra's very much appriciated and the beds so comfortable. We played football, rode the bikes and went for local walks. Simply one of the best houses we've ever stayed in and one of the best holidays we've ever enjoyed. »  Jacky

« A wonderful place for a family holiday. The house is perfectly stocked; really no want for anything. You have thought of it all, extra bits in the kitchen, games, great chairs by the pool. We loved every minute! »  Brinkworth family, UK

« What a fantastic week! The house is absolutely beautiful and very well stocked, had everything we needed, particularly the outdoor area - BBQ every night! The staff could not be more helpful and we felt instantly welcome. We are going to book for next year when we get home! »  The Greenshields, the Duncans, The Plags and Laing

« Wow, what a great place!!! During our stay there was nothing else we could have wished for. The awesome pool area, the great BBQ, the comfortable (sun)beds and beautiful bathrooms; everything was top notch. Enjoying the local wines, the pretty surroundings and fantastic golf course with our friends made this stay like it should be..... Holiday!!! We hope to come back! »  Patrick and Femke

« We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in this beautiful house with amazing surroundings! We visited several picturesque villages. Spent some lovely days and evenings around the pool and bbqing. Totally relaxing! »

« Where to begin? Booked this wonderful house 10 months ago. Often looked at the pictures and thought can anywhere be so perfect.... it can!!!!
The sheer joy of walking from room to room, spending entire days outside by and in the pool. Simple living in a sumptuous house which just keeps giving with it's character, beautiful art and furniture. Was this as perfect as I imagined? Absolutely. Would I come back? Without a doubt. Loved every minute' »

« Lovely family holiday, eleven of our family enjoying the sun, the pool. Very well equipped. A memorable holiday. »  The Robinson family

« What a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful gardens and a lovely pool area. We had a lovely time at he medieval festival in Monflanquin (very special!)
Gary and his team were fantastic. Would definitely come back! »  The Simpsons

« Thanks for a splendid holiday at Le Presbytere, we had a lovely time. »  Freke family

« After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes, and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive‎. »  Ferre Family - Vancouver, Canada
