Location

The house is just on the edge of the medieval, hilltop village of Servian (5 minutes walk to village centre). Servian (population 3,700) is located in the Languedoc vineyards, midway between Béziers and Pézenas, 17 km from the Mediterranean coast and its beach resorts.

The village has a grocery store, butcher, 4 bakeries, newsagent, fishmonger, two restaurants, café bar, 11 wine producers, and supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Traditional market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Car boot sales ('vide genier') every Saturday morning.

Swimming complex with 25m x 12.5m pool.

Historical sites to visit; Roman bridge, Priory of Amilhac, 12th century church, original village ramparts.

Pézenas (8 miles) with superb markets, artisan shops, 4 supermarkets, huge choice of restaurants and pavement cafés. Summer festivals and concerts.

Béziers (8 miles) with hypermarkets, further shops and restaurants, huge flower market on Fridays, cathedral with superb views.

Mediterranean beaches with child-friendly sandy beaches just 15 miles at Vias Plage with theme parks, amusements, beach bars and cafés, water sports etc. Many other beaches to discover.
