« Just want to thank you for letting us share your beautiful home.
We had a fantastic week there and loved the house so much. It felt so homely and we could have not wished for anything better. » Ruth M. and family (UK)
« The house is just AMAZING!!!! I stayed in Bordeaux for 10 days, unfortunately the weather was not the best but we really enjoyed the house. Warm and cozy, with lovely furniture. I found the house clean and in perfect condition. Chantal the owner was so helpful in everything and made sure we had all comfort and suggestions for the area. I really recommend this villa to people who love the real beauty. » Barbara & Rob - LA, USA
« We will book 2 weeks next time! We loved this house - so comfortable, there was nothing we would change. Also the beautiful pool area! Overall, really lovely part of France, loved the wines and food! P.s. next door's produce (organic farm) sold on Tuesday evenings was delicious - highly recommended! » Karen W - West Sussex, England
« Once again our family of four stayed at this amazing home. For a few days of our week's stay, we were 11 people between the ages of 5-50 and whether we were sitting by the pool or eating meals on the terrace, there was plenty of space to enjoy bonding time with others or moments of solitude. This was our second stay at this bucolic location and I'm sure that we will return. » Carlton D. New York USA
« We found a delight at the end of the Escambert driveway: a three story stone house, lovingly restored with new top end bath and kitchen appliances, in a beautiful setting inspired by an old neighborhood limestone quarry. The house provided our party of eight with lots of elbow room for relaxing, gathering around the dining table or a wood-burning fireplace. While less than an hour from the City of Bordeaux, the house is located in beautiful, quiet countryside. The location, several miles south of St. Emilion, was great for our adventures: a day trip to the Lascaux Cave and the Dordogne region, visits to left and right bank wineries and only several hours to the foot of the Pyrénées. The owner was very gracious and helpful in setting up tasting visits to select wineries and enlisting her friends to provide other winery recommendations. I don’t think we could have found a more delightful place to stay for our visit to the Bordeaux region; our two weeks went entirely too quickly. » Ralph S. Los Angeles, CA USA
« The F. and S. families stayed at the villa for 5 days. It was awesome! We saw so many things, most notably six wineries. Saint-Émilion was our favorite town and Château Haut Brion and Margaux were our favorite wineries.
But we loved the villa the most! » Michelle F - Los Angeles, CA USA
« Merci! Nous avons passé dans votre superbe maison un séjour enchanteur! » Pauline B - Bruxelles, Belgique
« Such a lovely house ! Warm and comfortable - especially the beds! Unfortunately for us, we have had to leave after only five days but we will always remember our time here: the visually stunning swimming pool, the lovely grounds and the fun we had around the large kitchen table. » Charlotte & Jeremy E - Devon, UK
« Pool is beautiful, facilities are amazing and location is fantastic with Saint-Émilion a short drive away making it perfect for a day trip. Would be happy to visit again as soon as possible! Thanks for an amazing stay! » Daryl D - UK
« The house, pool and surroundings were just perfect for a family holiday with friends. Off to Northern France before travelling back to Scotland. We hope to return before too long! Thank you for a wonderful holiday! » Jeffrey S - Scotland, UK
» Alex & Marie Paule - Belgique
« One of our best holiday ever! We rented this beautiful country villa in South Western France with some friends for 2 weeks last summer and we had one of our best holiday ever! The house is big, laid out in a very beautiful way, immensely comfortable and very tastefully furnished. I was very impressed by the equipment in the huge kitchen, you'll find everything you need to cook your every day meals with the added pleasure of cooking in a space that makes it a pleasure to do so. We found you could buy fresh organic vegetables & fruit from the farm next door, and we only ate out a couple of times in the local restaurants, opting to enjoy informal meals at the vast refectory table - we managed a dinner for 14 easily one night - and alternated this with barbecuing in the lovely space set just up from the pool. But the pool is the jewel in the crown. It is just beautiful. Spectacular in fact. You can't really prepare yourself for the first time you turn the corner and look out over this amazing space carved right out of the hillside. The pool sits among columns from where the natural stone has been carefully carved away. At night the lighting design emphasises the dramatic stone landscape and makes the space even more inviting for midnight swims! I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and we will be going again in the future. » Cri & Phil H - London, UK
« An experience of a lifetime...This beautifully restored farmhouse and it's impeccable and spacious grounds was such an 'over-the-top' experience, that we found ourselves not wanting to leave the property for our daytime excursions. The home is ideally located between Bordeaux and Saint Emilion; we were able to take day trips throughout the Region. The owner, whose English is perfect, was very helpful. She has a book of suggested restaurants which we found incredible. A few months back at home in Newport Beach, Ca I already yearn to return. » Marta S - Newport Beach, CA, USA
« We are back in Canada now. We enjoyed our week very much We loved the house - the pool was fantastic, and the 3 younger children had a wonderful time exploring the caves. They also enjoyed the tree climbing place. La Sauve Majeure - really enjoyed this, and canoeing. We went all the way to Canoe Vacance in La Roque - a good day trip and beautiful views along the Dordogne. Many thanks for a great week. Cheers and happy Bastille day! » Myers Family
« Thank you both for a wonderful and relaxing week. The house is beautiful and experiences memorable. A week was not long enough. We are all enjoying our stay. Could I please ask where your bedding is from. » Tippett Family - UK
