« As a family group we had an extremely relaxing two weeks at the end of July in this incredible villa. The charming and very welcoming owners, Nuala and Jacques, have enhanced Villa Palmyra with paintings and artefacts from around the world. With comfortable beds, luxurious bedding, fluffy towels, etc., our comfort was guaranteed. The cook in the family was delighted with the range and quality of utensils and appliances in the kitchen (the barbecue got top marks as well!) and we all appreciated the ice-maker in the fridge-freezer for cooling our drinks as we relaxed in the shade. The pool was so refreshing, very clean, with its wide surround and lockable fencing and its length was much appreciated by the serious swimmers. The close proximity (5 minutes by car) of a well-stocked supermarket and delightful small village, as well as many attractions being easily reachable, made this our perfect holiday destination. Having stayed in many villas in France and Spain this has to be the very best!
Thank you for a great holiday. » The Fairleys and the Peastons. UK
« We had a really special week at Villa Palmyra. We were met by the owners Jacques and Nuala who really went out of their way to ensure that we knew how to make the most of staying in their gorgeous home and were more than helpful in giving us information about the area and making us feel welcome. The villa is in a delightful situation - really peaceful with wonderful views. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable and we lacked for nothing. We enjoyed being surrounded by a range of original artwork and stylish décor. The kitchen was very well equipped and the pool was fantastic, especially being so large. The ability to eat and relax outside at all times of the day in some shade was very much appreciated and the views across the vineyard were lovely. It is very well situated for exploring the local area and the nearest town of Goudarges was delightful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone else. » Charlotte and Danny (UK)
« Having now returned home to Australia following our recent holiday in Europe, I wanted to make contact and write a review of our week long stay at Villa Palmyra (September 5-12).
Our group, consisting of 4 couples thoroughly enjoyed Villa Palmyra.
Owners Nuala and Jacques greeted us upon arrival and readily welcomed us into their home, guiding us through all the details we would require for our weeks stay, and confidently left us to begin our 'holiday in Provence'.
The amenities of the Villa were everything we could possibly want, including a crystal clear swimming pool and table tennis which saw daily tournaments!
The convenience of ensuite for each of the bedrooms allowed each couple the privacy and flexibility we were all looking for as part of our choice of accommodation for our holiday.
The large kitchen was functional and provided the perfect environment to create memorable meals using wonderful produce source locally, another prerequisite when considering our destination.
The location, was also ideal for touring Provence and was an easy enough 2 hour drive from Marseille (approximately). The Small hamlet of Roman where the Villa is situated is very quiet, private and secure, allowing us all to completely relax and enjoy.
The weather was more than kind to us, which only enhanced our stay and left us looking forward to a return some time in the future.
We have no hesitation recommending Villa Palmyra as a great holiday destination in Provence.
Yours sincerely, » Susan and Robin (Australia)
« We had a wonderful time at Villa Palmyra. We were given such a warm welcome by the owners (Nuala and Jacques) who had thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable. The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped (we wanted for nothing) and in a brilliant location with plenty to do in the surrounding area to suit all tastes. We made much use of the glorious pool and gardens and the piano was a real bonus. Of all the places in France we have stayed in across the years, this was by far the best. » Laura and Michael Roberts and family. UK
« We had a wonderful relaxing two week stay in this beautiful spacious stylish property set in peaceful and tranquil surroundings, full of elegant features, beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest standards throughout. What an amazing property.
Plenty of places to sit ,eat and relax outside too with a fantastic 20 metre pool to wallow and cool off in – we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and made the most of the outdoor living space as the weather was warm and sunny for the 2 weeks.
We were surrounded by lots of local vineyards too including the owners and managed to sample excellent local wines which was a real bonus.
We loved exploring this part of France , with its stunning villages ,rivers, gorges, vineyards, - plenty to see and do locally and well placed to visit other areas of interest in the region …. Avignon, Uzes, Nimes , Pont du Gard, Chateauneuf de Pape to name but a few. Closer to the villa the charming village up the road - Gourdargue was great for fresh bread and croissants and we enjoyed eating out in their many cafes and restaurants . Everyone was so friendly too.
However the real enjoyment was this special villa – we loved staying there and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. I would like to thank the owners for their warmth and friendship. We had a truly fantastic fortnight and would highly recommend this villa. » The Spencer Family, Cotswolds, UK/O’Donovans ,Cork
« We returned from our stay in Provence yesterday and I just wanted to thank you both for the first class service you provided. The villa was exceptional, luxurious and perfect in every way - we had a truly wonderful and memorable stay there. M. and Mme. Amsellem were delightful and welcoming - it was a pleasure to meet them. » Glynne family - UK
