Location

The property is located in the small hillside hamlet of Roman, next to the village of Cornillon, approximately 30 minutes West of Orange and just South of the beautiful gorges of the Ardèche.

Auberge restaurant in neighbouring Saint-Gely (2 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk).

All amenities are in nearby Goudargues (5 minutes) including shops, restaurants and traditional market. 15 minutes walk to the lovely River Cèze for swimming, canoeing and fishing.

Large choice of supermarkets and further shops and restaurants in Bagnols-sur-Cèze (15 minutes). Also here is the little 'Musée de Peinture Albert André' with one of the most exquisite collections of 20th century art in the South of France, with canvases by Renoir, Picasso and Gauguin and other well-known painters.

Superb surrounding countryside, a mix of vineyards, sleepy, traditional villages and the rugged 'Gorges de l'Ardèche', which offer excellent hiking and canoeing and the superb spectacle of the Pont d'Arc.

Endless wine-tasting opportunities on every corner.

Discover the Roman towns of Nîmes, Arles, Orange and Avignon. Don't miss the Pont du Gard.

Mediterranean beaches and seafood restaurants in le Grau-du-Roi and Saintes Maries-de-la-Mer within a 1½ hours drive.

« Just back from a terrific break. We must let you know how happy the family was with your property. It is a really lovely house, made all the better because it is so obviously lived in and therefore has a really good feel to it. The facilities were superb – the swimming pool fantastic, the rooms as good as you could wish for (particularly our 55 sqm bedroom!), and the layout between the kitchen and shaded eating area just right. The fridges, fortunately, could cope quite happily with enormous quantities of food and the rather large amount of beer and wine that was consumed; and the washing machine was excellent.
