The property is situated in open countryside almost midway between Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (5 km) and Saint-Étienne-du-Grès (3 km).
2 lovely restaurants less than 10 minutes walk.
Saint-Étienne is a picturesque small village with a bakery, butcher and restaurants.
Saint-Rémy is one of the loveliest towns in the whole of Provence. All amenities and huge choice of traditional restaurants and pavement cafés and bars. Magnificent tree-lined boulevards and winding streets make this one of the most sought-after towns in France.
Unmissable street market every Wednesday.
The countryside surrounding Saint-Rémy is quite beautiful and typically Provençal; garrigues full of wild herbs and olive trees.
One of France's premier tourist attractions, Les Baux lies just 10 minutes away; an 11th century village built into the rocks.
The Roman town of Arles is also only a 10 minutes drive. Many Roman and Romanesque monuments are still in use today; the amphitheatre provides the setting for bullfights and concerts, and what remains of the theatre plays host to formal concerts and traditional folk festivities throughout the year. The Cathédrale Saint-Trophime, with its magnificent doorway depicting the Last Judgement carved in stone and its beautiful cloisters, is open to the public for visits and Sunday services.
The necropolis, or Alyscamps, is today a narrow, tree-lined avenue, located just outside the old town.
Many lovely restaurants and pavement cafés. Van Gogh spent two years of his life here, so there are many related tours and souvenirs to be found.
Arles also boasts one of the regions finest markets every Wednesday and Saturday. Overflowing with Provençal goodies - fruits and vegetables, lavender products, soaps, olives, flowers, honey...The list is endless and makes the Arles market an event not to be missed!
Also not to be missed is a day out to Avignon to discover the winding streets and lovely Provençal shops. Here you'll find the wonderful 'Pope's Palace' - the former home of the Pope which really is spectacular. And the infamous ‘half-bridge’!
Spectacular, fortified town of Aigues-Mortes 40 minutes.
Just over an hour to the Mediterranean coast (lovely beaches and town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer).
For wine lovers, this is paradise; domaines and tasting almost on every corner.
The lovely Camargue National Park lies close by. You really will see black bulls, pink flamingos and white horses. Many horse and pony-trekking ranches and great choice of Mediterranean beaches.
« We've had a wonderful week staying here and taking day trips to Arles, Nimes, Orange, Isle sur la Morgue, Les Bories, Oppede le Vieux, Menerbes, La Coste, Vaison La Romaine and more.
Each night, we slept well in the quite - absolute quiet. Each morning, we enjoyed our breakfasts here (with espresso cups and every other kitchen item we needed at hand). And each evening we strolled the gardens, drank the local wines, cooked what we pleased, and felt comfortable and "at home".
We appreciated the welcome we got from Andrew and Sandra, the gift basket, the well-stocked home from teas to tissues, from soaps to candles) - and the fact that everything is well maintained and, even, well-explained.
So .... a stylish place to stay .... which we truly enjoyed and which we will recommend. Thank you! » Beker. USA
« We came from faraway to Provence for a stay. We enjoyed the pool and Mas La Beluga. Savoured amazing local food and wines. Explored far and wide. We are sad to leave but will take with us wonderful memories. Thank you Sandra and Andrew for your kind hospitality. » Williams & Kalms. Australia

« We know we would stay in a nice house in Provence. Little did we know that we would live in a wonderful home with a soul. So many of the personal touch make us feel like family.
We enjoyed each restaurant - for different reasons. Thank you for the great suggestions.
I hope you will get to meet others from our area in California - we can't wait to share our experiences. Thank you. Thank you for paying attention to every detail - you're amazing. » Judy and Phil (California, USA)
« Your home is just beautiful! Thank you for 'loaning' it to us!
Everything was outstanding. Your home, your help with dinners, food details in 'book' and restaurants suggestions. We were spoiled 'guests'. Our trip to Provence has been 'magical', thank you both! » Margaret and Bob (Virginia, USA)
« We have had a spectacular week. The house has worked so well for the 8 of us.you have been an immeasurable help in getting restaurant reservations, our chef Catherine, and answering all our questions. We've enjoyed our rooms and baths, the wonderful kitchen, the delightful pool, and watching the stars come out at night.
Being here in this lovely place with our friends has been "the stuff dreams are made of"! » Marcia & Larry (New York, USA)
« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Your home is absolutely lovely - everything here that one could ask for. We appreciated your culinary assistance and insights: the restaurants recommendations were perfect and we loved Catherine's dinners at "home". We really experienced a "taste of Provence". Sincerely. » Elaine and Jim (Connecticut, USA).
« What a fabulous house and what a fabulous holiday we have had! Thank you » Suzannah, Joe, George, Alex, Laura, Lucy & Daniel (Oxford, UK)
« We had 5 weeks in this lovely and comfortable house. Each week we had friends or relatives come to stay, and the house worked beautifully to have another family to stay. The photos are very realistic and the house is light, cool, tastefully furnished and very comfortable (with good showers etc). It is extremely well equipped. The location is great-- near lots of wonderful restaurants, (michelin quality) and also near vineyards and a sensational canal/waterfall lined tow path (stunning for cycling into St Remy, or going for a jog). The owner, Sandra, is British but fluent in French and with superb local knowledge (as she lives very near by) of the restaurants to go to, activities for the kids, and having her to book things resulted in better service and a warm welcome wherever we went. Thoroughly recommend this property-- great to share with friends, wonderful location and sophisticated amenities. »
« Maison Rousty is the perfect "home base" for exploring Provence – a private haven to escape to after sightseeing. The house has been renovated to a high standard and there is great attention to detail in every room – including air-conditioning in the two master bedroom suites! The grounds, including the front garden and the expansive pool area, are possibly more beautiful than the pictures portray. However, what makes a stay at Maison Rousty so special is the commitment of the owner to ensuring that you have the best vacation experience possible. Whatever it is you want, Sandra is only too willing to help… In our case that ranged from catering, restaurant bookings and organising horse riding for children. Her generosity of spirit combined with an excellent local knowledge was much appreciated and will not be forgotten. This type of service is not always forthcoming when renting vacation properties in any part of the world. » S Gluyas, Australia
« Many thanks again for your hospitality and care during our stay. It has been the perfect home away from home and a large pool is ensuring that our time in St Remy has been the magical experience we had hoped for. Everything has been brilliant! » Andrew, Belinda, Chelsea, Jessica, Mia & Oscar, Autralia
« The house is everything it appears to be - large, warm, well furnished, comfortable, and perfectly located for accessing all of Provence. But, the best asset of this property is its owners, Sandra and Andrew. I can't imagine an owner who could possibly try harder to make sure that your rental is everything you hoped it to be, and more. Particularly with respect to restaurant recommendations, Sandra is right on the mark - her every suggestion proved to be exceptional. Rent her house, follow her advice, and you will have the vacation of a lifetime! »
« I can't say enough good things about the house and location. I have rented various properties over the years but have never rented a more well-equipped property than this one. The bedrooms were generous with crisp linens, lots of hangers and very inviting. The bathrooms were new with good showers or tubs if preferred, and the kitchen was well-designed with an abundance of china, glassware, silverware and pots and pans. The many other kitchen utensils that a cook loves to use, were plentiful, as the hosts had thought of everything. A washer and dryer was convenient to have and we made good use of it with a toddler in the house. I would truly recommend this property as a fantastic get-a-way, you truly feel that you're having a vacation. The hosts were incredible! » Jo, Seattle
« Beautifully renovated, spacious, clean, wonderful bedrooms for everybody, and a very spoiling master suite (great shower!). We also especially loved lunch outside (near the kitchen). The owner was more than extremely helpful. The pool was very private, quiet and totally relaxing. »
